Default Good day for the M

Well since i finally had a day off today i decided it was time to take care of some of the routine maintenance my car was in need of.

First I changed the oil with Mobil 1 15w50 full synthetic. the old oil came out looking new which put a smile on my face (not very common with this damn car)
Anyway then i fixed the annoying inner fender rubbing noise and got that put back where it should be.

Finally i replaced the rear diff gear oil which turned out to be more of a job then i bargained for. I went to auto zone and bought a 14mm hex key and found that it was too long and hit the gas tank so i cut it in half and used a 14mm wrench around the hex key to remove the plugs. When i drained the oil i found there was only slightly over half a quart in the diff (source of my diff noises i'm thinking) So i filled her back up and man does she drive nice and with no noises to be found

Overall a great day

It's so nice when things just go the way you want them to. Too bad I'm experiencing the opposite of that today. At least I'm forced to drive my MGB tomorrow, that could be worse.

Good for you man. I have a lot to do before next weekend for 4ngiefest...spacers in the mail, oil change, wash & wax, sent my auto-dim rear-view mirror out to be rebuilt, headlight switch, driver's side-view mirror, PS reservoir and line all are being replaced at MWorks and I'd like to get a new subwoofer purchased and installed. Why do we pick this hobby again?

Would you rather collect model trains?

If I had the budget, I'd drop cars for planes in a heartbeat. Problem is, cars are faster up to around the $200k price point. Once you can get a twin engine plane with a cruise speed over 300mph, then you're in the sweet spot.
