From everything I have read the stock bottom end is forged and should be able to handle 8-10 psi with a conservative tune. With the MLS headgasket at .140 the lower compression should allow me to *hopefully* run 14psi. Im shooting for 400-450 and still be daily drivable. The car is set up for drifting, (poorly If I do say so myself lol) but who doesnt want more power right?

Manifold came in today as well as the intercooler. No pics of the cooler yet since I didnt have time to open the box I ended up going with the Maximizer Turbo manifold since the OBX one isnt made anymore. I will be taking it to work tomorrow and bore scoping each runner to make sure there arent any dingle welds that could harm the turbo down the road. Everything looked ok but better safe then sorry!
Got the manifold and the head back in place. Holy heavy head assembly. Good thing its not cast iron otherwise i would've needed an overhead crane to get it on. The wideband and some braided lines also came in today as well. I'll have pictures of those later.
So it's been awhile since I've posted up anything on the build. The progress goes as follows. Custom downpipe has been completed, open wastegate has been fabricated, Intercooler piping has been sorted and most of the fuel delivery items completed. The stuff left includes, mounting the blow through maf bracket, running front O2 sensors and wideband, fitting the BOV and subsequent vacuum lines, loading the tune and hopefully liquefying some tires!!
I'll probably catch flack for saying this but you don't have to run a blow off valve or a bypass valve if you don't want to. The waste gate will control the boost level. The reason these valves are used on factory cars is to avoid the chirping noise that occurs when you get out of the throttle without it.
