Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't believe in charging people to hang out in a parking lot and look at cars. Honestly, if it wouldn't put a dent in anyone's pocket, then they should offer up a donation if they want to help support the event.......

My moral dilemma would be giving my pocket change to you or the charity. No one is going to go to any AMAZING car show and think "man I would like to show the organizer I care and give him my money," they're more apt to donate to charity, which is good, but doesn't help your cause at all.

Any money collected DOES go to the charity, after event is paid for of course.

Someone has to pay for the party. Hence me not doing the meet again next year if it's me, again.

Gotcha, let's hope next year we can get something worked out then, I 100% see where you're coming from. There's enough people that look forward to this show all year that I think it would have plenty of supporters.

In what way can we help offset the party costs? Donations at the show?

Tshirt ordered! Can't wait to drive my new ride up to Cbus for the festivities.

As far as helping the cause, you can definitely look forward to a donation on my end to keep such a great event going next year. Wings, beer, and cars are a great way to spend a summer day

Since I am not independently wealthy, that is not a good thing......

See above

Shirts, drag tickets, escort tickets, stickers, donations, can ALL be made through the TF website. I can either mail them to you or have them available throughout the entire weekend in baggies with your names on them.

Don't leave Tim hanging.

Please step up and contribute what you can. No donation is too small.

Why don't you open the event to more people? I know you don't want the ricer crowd and nor do I but if you let the Audi/VW crowd in that would help a lot. Also I 2nd the charging 5 bucks idea 100%. The event is all about raising money so why not let more people in? More people=more money for the charity. Seems to me that would help any attendance issues

I actually don't think too many VW kids would show up. Just have to invite the right people.

You can't just "invite" the right people. The undesirable ones inevitably show up. I have no desire to deal with SOWO type issues. I DON'T WANT it much larger than it is. There aren't attendance problems, there are "people won't pay their fricken share" problems.......

Tim, I applaud you for everything you have done for this event. From conception to extensive time investment to fronting your personal funds in the effort to make it all happen. All for "friends" you met online, in forums.

Thank you!

I do understand what it takes to coordinate a major event like this. I wouldn't have it in me.

THE DRAG STRIP TIME HAS CHANGED FROM 4p-11p TO 5p-11p.

I was informed last night that we can not start at the track until 5pm. Sorry for the inconvenience........

Hmm I may have to cruise up for the drag night. I'm assuming I can still race the roadster there.

It just depends on what event your coming to. The dyno day and drag strip have costs attached to them. You can pay upon arrival if needed. The dyno day is first come, first served. There WILL be a long line, as with every year. The drag strip is easily pay when you get there. The car show itself is free, but donations are appreciated. It costs over $5k to put this event on, which most of which comes out of my personal pocket in the beginning. If you want to join in on the police escort, we will be selling tickets at the show, or you can pay when you enter the lot for the escort to dinner.

Sounds good - I'll see you this weekend (I'll bring some donations too)

Police escort is an absolute blast, I'd recommend doing that.

IDEA (sorry if its a bit late or redundant): Any way we can get some drone footage of this police escort? Of us queuing up in the parking lot or a huge rolling shot on the highway? That'd be maximum swag
