If you're worried about parking... why not have the meets at an area where there is alot of parking, starbucks on polaris or such (near a strip mall). I agree though, this is a cool idea, I remember a little while back my buddy in San Diego linked me to pics of a C&C meet they had there.

The Lennox is right next to OSU, there's plenty of parking. Starbucks sucks too, support Cup of Joe.

I might be down with this as well, although it depends on the number of the "Columbusracing" crowd that shows up.

I don't read well...didn't realize this was originally seen on columbusracing - in which case there is no way I'm going lol.

If some people from this forum would like to go, I'd be up for that

it's funny you said that b/c that's exactly what i was thinking. i'd up for meeting out there one weekend with some bmw folks. i hate to say it, but i don't want any association with columbus racing. however it is a great idea for a get together. ive always been jealous of the one out west.

I was out of town but even if I was in town, I didn't have balls big enough to go to such a risky meet.

It was a great get together. Nothing happened, just a bunch of guys with cars, hanging out drinking coffee.

I went. It was a pretty good turnout and yes everyone behaved. When you look at the pics please note that the campus cops were there before everyone showed up and were just getting their morning coffee.

the gentleman who put on this meet actually found out that there's another Columbus cars and coffee meet that exists and meets down the road at Bob Evans and is all exotics. I think they're going to try to combine the events.

I didn't bring my camera but it sucks anyway. The silver Rx7 is mine. The M3 didn't make the trip this time unfortunately....won't start

You too. If you need help working on the M3 let me know. I'm no mechanic, but I can be an extra set of hands.

I missed it due to work. Looks like a good crowd and a good time. I'll def. be trying to make future events.

I received this from Clay.

*Excerpt starts here*

Good morning, Cars and Coffee friends!

I hope that the fall and winter have treated you well. Here’s to 2010 being an exceptional year for everyone! Though we are unfortunately a ways off from the late spring – and the second season for Columbus Cars and Coffee – I wanted to provide you with a couple of updates. I am amazed at the response I’ve received over the winter…this year looks to be a good time for all in attendance!

WEBSITE: Gone are the old business cards that I used to promote Cars and Coffee last year. While we enjoyed good turnouts most weekends, there was a lot of confusion with the “other” Columbus Cars and Coffee site. I tried my best to work with Paul Milligan in an effort to use his site, but his plans go away from a simple mix of car enthusiasts at coffee shops. Therefore, I created www.columbuscarsandcoffee.net to keep people informed on the TRUE group focused on “cars” and “coffee”!

www.columbuscarsandcoffee.net – please share the link across any car forums in the area, your car-loving friends, and others that would be interested in our events.

A SECOND LOCATION: In response to people’s request for an east side location, I spoke at first with Staufs/Cup O’ Joe/MoJoe about using another location with abundant parking. Aside from Easton (who never returned my many calls), I called around. After a few conversations, I am happy to say that we will have a 2nd Columbus Cars and Coffee venue at Block’s Bagels in Reynoldsburg, just east of I-270. The discount we get as a group is TBD, but the website reflects the alternating schedule we will have between Cup O’ Joe weekends and Block’s weekends.

I will still keep you informed by emails every so often, but I promise not to overload people every other week as last year! Now, if you know of anyone that is interested in Columbus Cars and Coffee – where good car people go on Saturdays for coffee and conversation – please direct them to the site. Also, let me know if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.

I’m looking forward to everyone making this a great year for automotive enthusiasts all around the region! Thanks and I’ll talk to you again soon.

Sincerely,

Clay Lanctot

I spoke with my Store Manager about holding a meet in the Sears automotive center parking lot and he was fine with the idea!!! the building next door is also vacant!

Bump. The first event of this year is this Saturday 4/3 at the Cup O' Joe Lennox. I should be there with the Rx7. Hope to see some of you guys out.
