Because FD is the best of the RX7's and cannot be lumped in with the rest old people, sheesh

Most Mazda folk probably wouldn't know what the hell an E36 is either.

Since we're brothers it's pretty common banter.

When he brings the FD to lunch on Sunday we can figure out who pulls who.

hahaha...yes, we've been having the argument ever since he's talked about buying an e55. Although you're crazy if you think I'm driving the ....ahem...1993 Silver Mazda Rx7 (better for you Q?) thru Worthington. They give me enough of a hard time with the M3. We'll be cruising in the wife's car.

Very true, same reason mustang guys say foxbodies and sn95, or corvette C4, C5, C6. Just easier when talking on other forums of car specific sites with so many people in the same car.

no front plate.

I had my wife's ring appraised there and was leaving on a Friday afternoon around 4:45pm. Traffic was building nicely. I was going up 23 towards 270 to go home and the officer was sitting on the side of the road. I watched him chop thru traffic cutting multiple people off to catch up to me. He pulled me over literally 20 feet before I would have taken the ramp to 270. He gave me a whole rash of **** over not having the plate. I'm sure he would definitely target a loud, stinky, "ricer" car that doesn't have a front plate either.

Yes, I realize it's the law to have a front plate, So...I just don't drive thru Worthington in anything but my wife's car which is a dead stock Mazda 6.

I consider MFLP as something so minor. A Worthington cop gave me a ticket for the same thing in my '03 Z06. I work in that area and I drive my M3 to work. All of my cars don't have FLP, that was the only time I got ticketed.

Fine varies, but around $75 and it's a non-moving violation.

Funny or not, almost all states have the front plater need and a petition to go along

I understand, but I suppose it's just the attitude that the guy gave me. He was so pissed that I didn't have a front plate. Perhaps I just caught him on the wrong day or something. Either way I don't go into Worthington enough for it to be a consistent problem for me, and if I do I go in a different car than either of mine.

Not that Westerville is all that much better anyway, but I figure that's a whole different conversation.

And yes while the petitions for no front plate in this state have been around for years, and the state wants to do it, the highway patrol shoots it down each time.
