Default 2001 Imola 740i Sport

Thought I would introduce my car. She's a 2001 Imola 740i Sport. I bought it after totaling my 2000 Biarittz 740i Sport. Hit a deer with it and just couldn't rebuild it so I let the insurance company total it. Here's the Biarittz before being tolaled

Picked up the Imola about a year later. 2 owner car with records, super clean black interior. Haven't really done much to it yet, still deciding on a direction for it. I did add a fully functioning M5 cluster that was coded by a bimmerforums member. Currently it's in the body shop getting a complete respray after being peppered by rocks from a dump truck about 2 months ago.

Here it is shortly after I picked it up.

Gorgeous cars! You make me want to hold on to mine. How much work was it, putting the m5 cluster in? I've not seen that before.

The cluster is a straight plug in. You can just have the VIN coded to it and it will work like a standard E38 cluster. If you want the warm up lights and oil temp gauge to work though you have to have it coded by someone who knows what bits of code to write in order to make them work. I had Paul aka blackknight530i on bimmerforums do it for me. $500 for the cluster, pixel repaired and coded. It was a no brainer since I already needed the pixel repair.

I know right? Guy that had it before me took really good care of it. He bought it CPO at like 10K miles and it was only dealer or BMW shop serviced.
