Default Timmayfest 2016

Event schedule:

Thursday, June 9th - Arrival Dinner - 7pm - Dinner will be held at Bar Louie. We have a private banquet room reserved, seating 75. Any overflow will be seated in the general bar, so get there early.

Bar Louie
1611 Polaris Pkwy
Columbus, OH 43240
(614) 468-9410

Friday, June 10th - Dyno Day at Crucial Performance 9am - 6pm. $50 for 3 pulls. FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. There will be no presales.

Crucial Perfromance
3080 Westerville Rd
Columbus, OH 43224

Friday, June 10th (evening) - Last year we were rained out of the drag strip, so we lined up bowling at Star Lanes. We can do that again, or take a vote on other ideas. Still open for discussion. Gather at a local pub, crash test and tune night at a drag strip, etc.....

Saturday, June 11th - Timmayfest 2016 - Quaker Steak and Lube Polaris - 10am - 4pm - We are meeting at the same venue as the last 5 years, Quaker Steak and Lube in Polaris. It is a very convenient location with plenty of hotels, restaurants, and the Polaris Mall right across the street.

Quaker Steak and Lube
8500 Lyra Drive
Columbus, OH 43240

Saturday, June 11th - 5pm - Police Escort - Please arrive by 5:00pm - We are hiring a police escort again this year to travel to the restaurant. Tickets to participate are $10. They can be purchased at Timmayfest.com or during the weekends events, just see me for tickets. This is one of my favorite parts of the weekend every year. They COMPLETELY shut down all of the highways and surface roads for us! Last year we had over 100 cars in the escort and it was over 1 mile long! WE are still working on the details as far as the starting point and route. Stay tuned.

Saturday, June 11th - 7pm - Dinner at Cantina Loredo Tickets for dinner can be purchased at Timmayfest.com. $30 per person for dinner which includes a non-alcoholic beverage. If you would like to order alcohol, you can purchase it separately. We have seating for 84, if we sell more than 84 tickets, we can request more seats from the restaurant.

Cantina Loredo
8791 Lyra Dr.
Columbus, Ohio 43240
(614)781-1139

Saturday, June 11th - "The Afterparty" - Following dinner, we all head back to the Hilton hotel in Polaris and partake in a few frosty cold adult beverages and see what the night holds. We go back to the hotel to ensure there are no unsafe acts of drinking and driving.

Here are some addresses.....

Quaker Steak and Lube
8500 Lyra Drive
Columbus, OH 43240

Polaris Mall
1500 Polaris Parkway
Columbus, OH 43240

Hotels:

A large group of stay here (The Hilton Polaris). This hotel fills up fast. We also have the "after party" in the lobby on Saturday night.

No group rate this year. The hotel seems to be going through a reorg with their staff. I can't get a proper answer from anyone, so I threw in the towel. I booked my room for $136 a night for a King Suite.

Hilton Polaris
8700 Lyra Drive
Columbus, OH 43240
614-885-1600

Candlewood Suites
8515 Lyra Drive

AWWWWW YISSSS

A little disappointed about the police escort, that was one of my favorite parts but I understand how hard that is to control. Either way I'm super excited this is happening again!

Agreed, the police escort was probably my favorite as well. Last year it cost $1400. The fee was $10 per participant. It was brought to my attention that following the escort, there was a group of people bragging about how they managed to get into the escort without paying the fee. Seriously? You can't pay a $10 fee fr something like this?

I'm just glad this is happening! Scaling it back seems more than reasonable. Any word on this year's charity?

I had a great time coming out last year. I really enjoyed the Police Escort through Downtown and back... I am looking forward to the event this year as well!

Maybe less 'police' escorts and more escorts?? Just some food for thot*

The "Local" turnout for the event has been ,,, sad, in the past few years.

Tim, We will be there, with at least 2 cars

I'll be there in one way or another. Sad about the dyno and escort, but completely understandable. It will still be a cool event!
