Well, there are plenty of good examples of both. While the power of the e46 is enticing, there is a certain appeal of its older brother, the e36.

Did you end up finding one or what ?
Well i test drove this 99 e36 m3 coupe, waiting on the guy to tell me if he agrees on what i offer. It's got supersport full exhaust, cold air intake and shark injectors. 112k miles and its doing 270+ hp thats what i heard from him. i offered $9500 cash. lets see. cuz thats what his car is worth!
