Do a bed in of the pads - get the car to 15 mph and slam on the brakes (do not lock them up), then repeat to 25 mph and then 35 mph. At 35 mph you should start to smell the brakes a bit and drive to cool them down. All about getting a fine layer of pad material on the entire rotor.
